Developed as a group project using NotebookLM, the story combines a clear narrative structure with AI-assisted visuals to create an engaging and meaningful learning experience.
The Journey of the Bottle
The story begins with the production stage, highlighting the industrial processes and resources required to create a plastic bottle. It then follows the bottle through consumption and disposal, illustrating how everyday human behavior directly impacts the environment.
As the journey progresses, the bottle becomes part of a broader issue—plastic pollution in oceans and landfills—emphasizing the long-term consequences of single-use plastics.
Educational Value
By presenting environmental education through storytelling, the project transforms abstract ecological concepts into a relatable and emotionally engaging narrative.
From an educational perspective, this digital storybook can be applied in language, environmental studies, and interdisciplinary classrooms. It encourages students to reflect on sustainability, develop environmental awareness, and understand the importance of responsible consumption.
In terms of English language learning, the storybook also supports the development of reading skills. The structured narrative helps students follow the sequence of events and improve comprehension, while contextualized vocabulary allows them to infer meaning more naturally. In addition, the combination of text and visuals enhances understanding and retention, particularly for visual learners.
Furthermore, the integration of NotebookLM into the creative process promotes digital literacy and demonstrates how AI can support innovative and meaningful learning experiences.
Conclusion

“Vicky, Michael, and the Clowns” is a digital storybook collaboratively developed using NotebookLM, with the integration of AI-generated voice narration to enhance storytelling delivery. The project explores how artificial intelligence can support both content development and multimodal presentation in language education.
The narrative follows the characters Vicky and Michael as they encounter a group of clowns, creating a storyline that blends imagination, dialogue, and situational interaction. The inclusion of AI-generated voice acting adds an auditory dimension, transforming the story from a static reading text into a more dynamic and immersive listening experience.
From a pedagogical perspective, the project supports the development of multiple language skills. The written narrative strengthens reading comprehension and vocabulary acquisition, while the AI-generated narration enhances listening skills, pronunciation awareness, and intonation recognition. Exposure to natural speech patterns also contributes to the development of communicative competence.
In addition, this digital storybook can be applied in various classroom contexts, including pre-listening prediction tasks, role-play activities, pronunciation practice, and creative rewriting exercises. By combining text, audio, and visual elements, the project reflects multimodal learning principles and addresses diverse learning styles.
The use of NotebookLM for content organization, together with AI voice technology for storytelling, demonstrates how artificial intelligence can function as an effective pedagogical support tool. Rather than replacing the teacher’s role, AI enhances instructional design and expands opportunities for interactive learning.
Overall, “Vicky, Michael, and the Clowns” highlights the potential of AI-assisted digital storytelling to enrich language education through greater engagement, accessibility, and innovation.

This in-class teaching presentation was collaboratively developed using NotebookLM to explore the topic of hobbies in an interactive and visually engaging way. Inspired by the vibrant atmosphere of amusement parks and playgrounds, the design incorporates bright colors, rounded shapes, and dynamic visual elements to create a positive and motivating classroom environment.
Rather than relying on traditional text-heavy formats, AI-assisted tools were used to enhance creativity, organize content effectively, and design visually appealing slides. The playful layout helps reduce learning anxiety and encourages students to participate more actively in discussions about their interests and personal experiences.
From an educational perspective, this presentation supports language development by introducing vocabulary related to hobbies, daily activities, and personal preferences. It can be effectively used to promote speaking practice, group discussions, and interactive classroom activities such as role-plays or surveys. In addition, the visual elements support comprehension, particularly for visual learners, making abstract ideas more accessible and memorable.

There is a question that many of us—young people standing at the threshold of the future—have pondered time and again: "Why choose English Studies?". Among countless paths, what led us to find our place here at NAEM?
Perspectives from the Inside
Today, we would like to share our most authentic experiences as English majors at the National Academy of Education Management. Have you ever wondered: "Is studying English really different from what you once imagined?"
"I used to think English Studies was simply about dry vocabulary and complex grammar structures. But once I truly immersed myself, I realized this world is far more vast and open. It feels as though I am step-by-step familiarizing myself with a truly professional working environment." — Duong (Sharing from the hallways of NAEM)
A Journey of Breaking Barriers
Many young people carry a fear of communication or hesitation when facing a crowd. However, the learning environment here has become the "springboard" to transform that.
"I didn't think I was suited for this major at all because I was naturally quite shy. But surprisingly, after vibrant discussions and exciting teamwork sessions, I feel much more confident and empowered. The greatest value I’ve gained isn't just from textbooks; it’s the profound growth in my mindset." — Thanh (Student from Group 4)
A "Safe Space" to Grow
The most distinctive mark of NAEM lies in its connection. The dedication of the lecturers isn't just in their lessons, but in their meticulous and heartfelt feedback after every class.
This environment provides an absolute sense of security: A safe place to try, a safe place to fail, and a safe place to truly mature.
Closing Thoughts
Each of us has our own reason and a different starting point, but we all chose the same destination: English Studies at NAEM. What about you? Are you ready to write your own story?
"The limits of my language mean the limits of my world." — Ludwig Wittgenstein.
